Persona
Purpose : To proceed with the production while imagining how the product will be used
Based on the documents provided by the client and insights from the initial meeting, we identified the target audience. To pinpoint challenges, we conducted user interviews and created user personas based on the findings.
Key point
The user needs that can be addressed when creating the website are easy navigation and providing the necessary information to users in an effective manner.
Competitor Analysis
Purpose : Understanding the structure of competitor websites and differentiating it from our own.
I researched several companies in Vancouver that offer services similar to Agora Printing. I evaluated and analyzed the user experience they provide and used these insights to inform and enhance our own design.
Key point
Because all of the websites had somewhat complex and confusing navigation, we decided to make improvements based on usability testing after the design phase.
Card Sorting & Tree Testing
Purpose : Verification of the user's mental model and clarification of categories.
To reduce the chances of users getting confused by product category names, we conducted card sorting to investigate how users categorize each item. Based on the results, we created the navigation bar and then conducted tree testing to explore how users go through the process of finding specific items.
Usability Testing
Purpose : Assess the quality of the user experience.
I observed users as they completed tasks designed to cover various scenarios, from searching for specific items to designing and ordering them. Afterward, I interviewed the users, and the feedback gathered was used to inform the final design.
